Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC
There are an array of regional practices, local codes, and individual preferences that make up the typical mechanical and electrical installations of any area. Piedmont Dwellings plans only show the location of certain mechanical and electrical fixtures. Various Choices of duct work, venting and other details will vary depending on the type of heating and cooling system and the type of energy that you use. Plumbing and electrical also have too many options and local requirements for our designs to dive too deep into those areas. The details and specifications of your desired construction location are easily obtained from your local builder, contractor, and/or suppliers. Your local HVAC contractor, plumber or electrician can determine the best layout for your new home.
The option of slab, crawlspace and standard basement foundations are offered with some designs. If the option exists for a certain plan, your choice of one is provided with each order.

If you are planning to build in an area with unique specifications such as high wind/snow loads, coastal areas, earthquake zones, substandard conditions, or extreme grades; local authorities may require an engineer’s report. If an engineer’s stamp is required, you will need to have the house plans stamped on your local level.
